Parks Canada works with diverse partners to connect wildlife habitats in many ways. We maintain ecological corridors, wildlife crossings, and remove barriers to help animals-and people-thrive. Why? Many species need to reach habitat well beyond the boundaries of protected areas to survive. They travel long distances to find nourishment, shelter, mates, and to raise their young. Protected areas,...

The Candid Caribou Project | Field Notes Vlog | Parks Canada
A rather awkward format that distracts from whatever message you hoped to share.
hey, thanks for the tutorial. you are the only one that show the bear repellent spray that has that safety clip on it. I figured you'd you just pull off the pin and push the red trigger. Every time I would look at the directions. id second guess myself. the directions on here suck.
You guys need more views and recognition for doing such an important thing.
Mutual respect and learning from them - but still minimizing interaction: that's a very interesting perspective. To me it seems remarkably similar to the concept of avoiding habituation and even more so avoiding conditioning, a concept that has become mainstream even in Western approaches to the managment of relations between bears and people when sharing the landscape.
How many churches have been burned in our quest for reconciliation? The ignoring of this issue underlines this movement's adversion to truth.
You rock gals!
2 questions: - what about the remaining 10% chance if the bear repellent does not work? Any other tools recommended? - does the bear spray work against wild boar the same way?
Thats History! Expeditioners of the sea becomes Expedition site.
invasive species is what made it a marsh, it was not a marsh from the beginning of time. funny how history stops at whatever point in the past necessary to make the point they want.
So much fun.
Free parks admission to migrants? Most Canadians havent even visited places like morraine lake as its so flooded with foreigners. I think its time to dissolve attachment to the monarchy and the federal management of the parks.
How many are left ? or are they just feeding the wolves like they did with the caibou ?
How about jobs for adults?
Is the discovery pass good for per person or per car? I have 2 adults and 2 kids
Hi! Please check out our website for more information (free admission for youth 17 and under) www.commandesparcs-parksorders.ca/en
It is strange to see such lack of real science in pursuit of "invasion biology". Do you really thing after grinding up and depositing in unnatural piles debris is worth "measuring" and then sorting through looking for anything alive? Removing cattails? Pretty much the textbook plant of marshes. This just looks like its designed, like so many of these projects to enhance recreation activity and to benefit ONE species: Man.
From an American, what a GREAT people and a wonderful part of Canadian history.

Are you allowed to fish?
Hello. Thank you for your question. Fishing is not permitted within 10 metres of a lock or approach wharf or from a bridge over a navigation channel. parks.canada.ca/lhn-nhs/on/trentsevern/visit/navigation/reglements-regulations

Did she just colonize fingerweaving by saying there is no First Nations equivalent? That’s false. Maybe not in her region but in the South Eastern US it has been around for over 9,000 years.
There wasn't any advice on what to do if the wind is blowing towards your face.
its too bad you lock away ineresting places

We are an ancient people (Metis) who were wronged by the Canadian government. In court on April 02nd 2024 the Canadian government still claimed in court, it was not responsible for the harm suffered by the Metis and Non Status people in the Sixties Scoop. Truth & Reconciliation is just NOT possible.

Thank you! Brake for Snakes magnets are a popular way to raise awareness. While Parks Canada administered places have provided magnets at special events in the past, conservation groups in your area will likely have some available for sale. Many options can also be found for purchase online.

Hello
A lot of talk of the involvement of the Inuit and the need to respect and get their permission in all these videos regarding the Franklin Expedition. Zero mention of the descendant families of those lost souls. They have not been consulted? I speak as a descendant of the last surviving member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. A man who would settle in the 1840’s in what is now called Franklin California. The very idea that the families of those lost have yet to be consulted and a general dismissive disrespect to Their legacy disgusts me.
Hello and thank you for your comment. As a co-operatively managed site between Parks Canada and Inuit, we work collaboratively with our partners and community members to share information about the Wrecks of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror. Parks Canada is also in regular contact with Franklin Expedition descendants including individuals, families, and/or organizations connected to crewmember birthplaces.
